Six Months!

Penny is six months old! Crazy!
-She is really into spitting right now and its driving me insane! Her shirts are just constantly soaked. But I'm pretty sure its my fault since I make funny noises to her all the time and she's trying to mimic me.
-She is obsessed with tags. If there is a tag, she will find it and she will suck on it. There is a toy called a "taggie" that she has that has a bunch of material around a circle that look and feel like tags, but she doesn't care for that - there's a real tag on the back that she always goes for!
-Her tongue is always hanging out. My mom joked that it was because her cheeks are so big there's no room for it in her mouth!
-She understands a countdown (or rather, count up) means she's going to get thrown in the air on "3" and she gets very excited!
-If you replace the letters in the song "Bingo" with "P-E-N-N-Y" and sing it to Penny, she will almost always calm down.
-when I ask her "where's Dadda?" she'll look around the room til she sees Steve. She'll also look at the garage door when I tell her "Dadda is home!". I love it!

Her Stats:
13 lbs 10 oz (10th percentile)
25.5 in (50th percentile)
16.5 in head circumference (50th percentile)

I was sorting Penny's clothes one day between what she had grown out of and what still fit her, so I had two piles on the floor. I was sending the ones she had grown out of to a friend. Penny was sitting in her bumbo chair in between the two piles. I wasn't really paying close attention to her until I realized that as I was putting clothes into the "too small" pile Penny was grabbing them and putting them in her "still fits" pile! I was laughing so hard! I joked to Steve that she was being a bit greedy and didn't want me sending her clothes to someone else!

If you look closely, you can see that tongue sticking out!

Penny usually jumps like crazy in her door jumper, but this day she was pretty tired. I looked over to see her just staring at me like this and not moving at all. Nap time!
She is definitely a daddy's girl!
One afternoon I was having trouble getting Penny to sleep. She finally fell asleep on my lap for an hour and a half! This is how she woke up. Ha!
She now has enough hair to (barely) get a bow to stay in!

We started her on solids on the day she turned six months! Bananas!

Haha! Her face in this pic just makes me laugh!
A girl after her mother's heart - going for the chocolate milk!
Starting to get the hang of sitting up!

She loves being in the kitchen and watching us cook/grabbing any utensil she can get her hands on!

Six months and looking SO big to me!

Photo shoots are exhausting. And please ignore the piles of laundry. Sometimes I fold it.
